Raw pops - great for kids, vegan, paleo, no refined sugar

Kids will love these raw pops for a dessert or a snack and they will also enjoy making them. They are very easy and quick to make and contain great amounts of minerals, protein, fiber and healthy fats. They are very filling, satisfying and energy boosting.

Ingredients

for the pops:

  • 1/3 cup raw almonds
  • 1/3 cup pecans
  • 1/3 cups walnuts
  • 8 pitted dates
  • 2 tbs raw cacao or unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup melted coconut oil

for the chocolate:

  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 2 tbs raw cacao or unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tbs maple syrup

Instructions

for the pops:

  1. Place all the ingredients in a food processor and pulse until a dough consistency is reached.
  2. Form medium size balls and once done, store in a fridge for about 15 minutes.
  3. When hardened, carefully insert the sticks into the balls and dip in chocolate.
  4. Place in a fridge for about 15 minutes before serving.

for the chocolate:

  1. Melt the coconut oil on the stove.
  2. Turn the heat down and while whisking, add cacao and maple syrup.
  3. Whisk for about a minute to blend everything together.
